When the season fixtures are released, there's always one fixture I'm wary of. And that is our upcoming game. I was pleased to see we had them at the beginning of the season, instead of the tail end of the season. Blackburn away is a tricky tie, but we are Arsenal, and we will win! Perennial cloggers Blackburn provide a stern test, and having been lambasted for having a soft side, it's time for the boys to become men.
Forget last seasons collapse, surrendering a 1-0 lead into a 2-1 loss. That was then. This is now. We have strengthened alot since then. Out have gone Eduardo, Gallas, Campbell and Silvestre. In coming we have Chamakh, Koscielny and Squillaci. Right through the spine of the team we have bulked up tremendously I feel. Now, onto the proper stuff before I bore you.
Unlike the last preview I did for the Blackpool game, this team is really hard to call. This is due to not only the opposition, but the quantity of quality players we have.
Laurent Koscielny is back from suspension. Denilson is back from an injury, and Djourou should be fully fit.
Cescy Boy's Predicted Line-Up
Almunia
Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Clichy
Diaby Fabregas Song
Rosicky v.Persie Chamakh
The only player I believe isn't nailed on to start is Tomas Rosicky, who has been in fine form this season. To highlight our strength in depth, we have Walcott or Arshavin to replace him. I hope Wenger does opt for Rosicky because of the craft he adds to the creativeness. Introduce both Arshavin and Walcott after the hour mark to really terrorise the worn out Blackburn defence.
Fully expecting our two star players Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie to start. Chamakh and van Persie will be interchanging throughout the game to give the Blackburn defence food for thought.
Really confident about tomorrows game. To put it politely, I think we will fucking smash 'em! A big fuck off sign will be issued towards Fat Sam in the place of a resounding victory.
Key Men
Robin van Persie: The vice-captain has a knack for scoring against Blackburn. And he is sure to get another tomorrow to kickstart his personal scoring aims.
David Dunn: Nothing to worry about. Abou and Alex will give him a few sly kicks, I hope.
Cescy Boy's predictions
Blackburn 0 - 3 Arsenal
Chamakh
v Persie 2
So there you have it, nothing to worry about.
Come on you gunners!!
