Morning all
What a fantastic day on Saturday. Alot of positives came out of the game, least of all a hat trick from Theo Walcott. Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky both got a full 90 minutes, which will do them a whole lot of good, both for different reasons.
I was going to give a full match report yesterday, but due to an unforeseen hangover, I was unable to do so! And being a day late, I'm not going to bore you with what's already been plastered all over the Arse blogosphere.
Having said that, the Emirates is finally looking like home. Fatboy Slims Right here, right now is a touch better than the Wonder of You but surely there is still a better entrance song out there.
Having seen a Mark Schwarzer-less Fulham yesterday hold Man Utd to a draw, I was heartened to see another top notch performance from their young keep David Stockdale. If he carries on in that vein of form, it will surely enhance our chances of getting Mark Schwarzer. I firmly believe we will sign Schwarzer in the next 8 days, regardless of Sparky's insistance that the transfer is not a foregone conclusion.
Anyone else pissed off with the way Arsenal are being targeted for tapping up a player!? That white-haired fuck is at it again guys. Can anyone show me where Arsene or any Arsenal player on the books has called for his transfer? Because the only noises being made are from newspapers and sports channels such as Sky Sports News. So, grow a pair will you Mark Hughes?
More transfer news, the arrival of Sebastien Squillaci is looking all the more likely. Well done to Red London for bringing that to everyones attention. The price range varies from £4-6 million. And even at £6 million, the deal seems very good indeed for a guy of his calibre.
I've still a sneaky feeling we will see an additional centre back come in though. Maybe Emir Spahic, or Montpellier. You know, the Bosnian fella.
And how is it that twice in a row, Chelsea hit a team for 6 and are still a chore to watch. Be grateful that we see Arsenal week in week out!
Before I go, I want to congratulate both Ian Holloway and the Blackpool fans. One word to describe them - class. Long may it continue. Carry on as you have been, and i'm sure you'll turn over a few teams in the same manner that Wigan found out.
Cheers for reading. Hopefully you'll see some improvements on the blog within the next few weeks!
