Denilson, I agree with you.

Talks a good game

Afternoon folks

Hope we've now all calmed down, and are on the same wavelength

A point at the Stadium of Light is not a crisis. I've said countless of times now, many teams will struggle up there, and to play there like we did with 10 men is pretty damn impressive by my accounts.

One of the players who added defensive ability, replacing Arshavin, was Denilson. One sloppy pass aside, he was very good indeed. When the Sunderland attack was entering the Arsenal half, the play was halted many a time by Denilson, tenacious in the tackle. He also could of got on the score sheet, running half the pitch before smashing a shot narrowly wide. Now I'm a big fan of the kid, within the next two years I expect this player to a mainstay of the Arsenal team, I really do.

He's gone to say some impressive things;

"I still think we can win the Premier league this season," said Denilson. "We are in a very good position. We have to keep the unbeaten run going as long as we can.
"It has been a long time since we have won the league and I believe this season we will win some trophies. I am confident because we have shown all the time in games how well we can play and the spirit is there as well.''
"We dropped some points at Sunderland but I am confident we will bounce back. I joined in 2006 and I can understand the fans being impatient but we have the best manager here who tries not to put us under too much pressure. We all have to show him how much we want it."

Correct. We are in a good position, second and unbeaten in the league. We also sent out a message to the rest of Europe via our demolition of Braga. Chelsea have started on fine form yes, but have they been challenged? Have they hell! They've taken apart relegation fodder, with all due respect. In their next two games, their title credentials will well and truly be put to the test, and until then there's not much we don't about them already.

Denilson feels we can win the league, and I do to. We got a credible draw at Anfield, and a decent draw at the Stadium of Light. We've also gone to Ewood and won. All in all, I believe this team is easily better equipped to win the league than last season. With the addition of the two centre backs, we no longer look to have the ''soft centre'' many pundits believe we still possess.

Tomorrow we travel to the Lane in the 3rd round of the Carling Cup. I will do a little match preview tomorrow, as calling the team to play is near damned impossible. I'd love to see JET, Lansbury, Szczesny and   possibly Aneke or Afobe play. Compliment that with the likes of Eboue, Denilson and Squillaci, we could have a very strong team out.

That's it for today, have a bearable Monday. The only good thing about a Monday is the return of Inbetweeners on E4!

Have a good one, and for gods sake, keep the faith!
