The kids are alright!

Afternoon folks

It's been a while. I allowed myself some time off from blogging to recharge if you like.

So Bolton first up, at the Home of Football - The Emirates.

Soon to be Fortress?
In recent years gone by, we've struggled against the brutality of the like of Bolton. Tomorrow, I expect no such problems. As a team, we've grown in every sense. Height, weight, mental strength. You name it. Expect a strong showing from the Arsenal tomorrow, to carry on from that fine win up at Ewood.

The major news coming from the dreaded interlull was the prolonged injury of both Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott. 4-6 weeks seems to be the estimated time out for both players, but just be thankful it's at this early stage of the season and the fact we are well equipped in attack.

So that is two of our front three from Blackburn missing, and it's Walcott's replacement which seems to be causing the most debate. The favourite appears to be Emmanuel Eboue, who offers offensive power as well as defensive stability. I'm more inclined to go with Carlos Vela, who surely deserves more game time from what I've seen from pre-season and a somewhat promising World Cup. However, I expect to see Eboue start, and of course bag a hat trick!

Fresh from changing the Under 21's match on Tuesday, Jack Wilshere is in line to face his former club. I believe we owe Bolton alot for the development of Jack Wilshere as a person. Besides the police business, he has toughened up mentally and bulked himself up in the process.
Stuart Pearce dropped young Jack from the starting line-up as he felt that his eye slipped off the ball, so to speak. Arsene Wenger has no such worries.

Wenger has defended the youth of today, and quite right. Alot of snobbery is going on amongst the elder players I feel, Rio in particular, who seem to forget themselves were no ''angels'' as Arsene put it.

Arsene Wenger has earmarked both Jay-Emmanuel Thomas and Benik Afobe as potential options to ease the striking crisis. I'm very excited by these two players. They remind me of the Invincible style players. Big, strong, powerful and technically excellent. Now they are far from good enough to be in the same league as those players, but watch this space.

As always with Arsenal, the future seems very bright. However, unlike previous years, I feel this year is where we finally come of age.

Thanks for reading, hopefully hear from you soon!
