The Springboard to success?

Morning all

First cup of the season

Everyone still triumphant from Tuesdays game? I most certainly am.

So Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool have exited the Carling Cup at this early stage, opening the competition right up.

What is refreshing is the strong squad we have, underline by the fact Arsene thinks we can challenge for every trophy available. And that should be the attitude at a club of our size. For far too long we have been prioritising, hopefully now we take the FA Cup seriously.

We all might be getting carried away, but if we avoid a trip to Manchester to the final at least, then we have a very good chance of being at Wembley. The final comes at an interesting time, just before all the competitions enter the final furlong. What a boost it would be to go into the latter stages with a trophy already under your belt.

Winning a cup with this team is a must, they need to start winning. It doesn't matter what cup. I know the Carling Cup is easily dismissed, but as long you are still in the competition, then why shouldn't you want to win it?

Remember Chelsea and Man Utd went through a trophy drought? Well, their first trophy was the Carling Cup, and that's why we should challenge for this cup. It's the start of something. Like pundits say, winning is a habit. A habit we need to get use to. Readers of this blog know my faith in this squad, and I'd be delighted winning the Carling Cup. We've used this trophy blooding in youngsters through the years, and now, we may finally reap the rewards.

That's it for today folks. If Arsene Wenger's press conference is broadcast today, will look into posting another article this evening. Thanks for reading.

Keep the faith
