Well, the mist of the interlull has finally cleared. Good news, our players are back in one piece. Our two most influential players, Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas, suffered from timely flu so as such had a little rest.
Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott both started for England, and by in large had good games. Of late, those two players have improved rapidly and have become first picks for Arsene Wengers strongest side. Shockingly, none of our players picked up knocks, which is refreshing and long may it continue.
More good news on the injury front, Johan Djourou has declared himself fit for the Wolves game. Great news. Although I'd suspect he won't start tomorrow as we need him more against Barcelona than we do Wolves. That means a potential partnership of Squillaci and Koscielny. I know, I know, frightening thought ey! Hopefully they should come through the game relatively unscathed. I don't know what the problem with Squillaci is, he started very well and looked an astute signing. So obviously the talent is there, we just need to see more of it! And very quickly indeed.
Because of last Saturday's collapse, tomorrows game is now vital. We need to get back to winning ways at the earliest opportunity, or more slip ups will have a detrimental effect. Another draw or loss could lead to a horror of sequences, and we really could do without that. If we are to win the league, we need to show ''bouncebackability'' (yes that is a word now) and take advantage now that the Invincibles guard down at Old Trafford has dropped. They have a difficult run coming up, whilst ours is much more fanciful.
Over to you, Arsenal. Time to make amends for the second half showing at St James Park.
