Enter Cesc Fabregas

Afternoon guys

One game in, and already an injury curse has struck. Our best player at Anfield and indeed pre season, Samir Nasri, has been ruled out for a month.

Of course, this is somewhat disappointing as I feel this is his season. After missing out on the World Cup, he looked to have the hunger to succeed at club level.

However, we have numerous options to deal with this blow. Tomas Rosicky impressed in his cameo at Anfield and could easily fill in for Sami boy. Abou Diaby could be moved further up field, where I feel he is best suited, and Alex Song can come back into the team shielding the defence in a job he does remarkably well. Jack Wilshere must be champing at the bit now as he is seeing his path into the first team become clearer due to Nasri's injury. He too can easily be put in the attacking midfield/playmaker position with ease.

Oh, and apparently we have some Spanish midfielder in reserve waiting for his chance to shine this season. Heard he's our captain!?

In all seriousness, Cesc Fabregas will be the dogs this year!

I just hope Andrey Arshavin steps up to the plate now as I feel he is also a beneficiary (along with Wilshere) as his left wing role would have been seriously under threat once Fabregas took over from Nasri.

In other news, Arsenal Football Club retains it's class with the Arsenal Fanshare scheme. Jermain Defoe, aka Mystic Meg, was backed up in his claims of ''going further than Arsenal in the Champions League'' by his Tottenham team mates last night...

And on that note, let's all laugh at Tottenham!
