The Road to Wembley begins

Morning all

And no, I'm not talking about the Soccer AM car park game. The Champions League proper begins tonight.

Tomorrow night, Arsenal play Braga. Although relatively unknown, they should not be taken lightly. They beat Celtic and Sevilla to get to this stage so we must be on top of our game to beat this team. We are at the Emirates tomorrow so we should win this game, but having said that, there are no easy games in the Champions League...

Unless you play Tottenham.

I was just hearing on Sky Sports News how Ruud Gullit believes we are not well enough equipped to challenge for the Champions League. I wholeheartedly disagree there, Ruud. This season, we look to have added that extra steel to complement are intricate passing football. Unlike the hurly burly of the Premier League, majority of teams play a similar style to us, that's why in past seasons we've scored for fun against teams such as Porto. Last year, I think we came up against in form Barcelona team to early.

As Guardiola said that night, they hit their peak. Meaning they can't push on from there. Arsenal, however, have many more levels to kick on to. This incredible young team will keep on improving, and I believe with a potential last season for our captain Cesc, we really have the initiative to go out and give our leader a proper send off.

This is the season where our young boys become men. Stand up and get counted. Bring on Barca. Bring on Man Utd. We're ready.

Come May 2011, we will be at Wembley finally lifting the silverware and right some of the wrongs from 2006. This is our year!

Keep the faith gooners, it's all starting to come together.

On another subject, rumours have it that rap sensation Jay-Z is interested in buying Arsenal shares. Unconfirmed reports reveal he's weighing up his options. He's got 99 problems but the pitch ain't one.

And on that note, I'll get me coat!

Thanks for reading.
