Arsenal 1-0 West Ham; Alex is on Song. Again.

Morning all.

I hate this day, when the clocks go back. So much confusion of the time and whatnot. And I feel cheated out of an hour extra in bed! On the plus side, an extra hour to cure this hangover. Happy days!

Yesterday was the type of performance that strengthens our title credentials. We kept going, plugging away and were finally rewarded with a late winner.

With Man City losing, we've distanced ourselves between us and them a little. Now we have Chelsea and Man Utd to dispose of! Onto yesterdays game, and as is the norm, Robert Green decided to have a stormer in goal. West Ham defended well for large parts and I don't recall them having many chances, apart from a Noble shot from outside the box.

We struck the woodwork a few times, somehow a Theo Walcott drive hit the inside of the post and didn't deflect in, but still we carved out chances. The goal came from our defensive midfielder Alex Song. Clichy dummied his marker, and lofted a great right footed cross for Song to throw himself at and head it into the net. 3 points, and 2nd in the league. At this stage of the season, we cannot argue.

A few promising things; Fabianski has kept another clean sheet. That penalty save at Partizan Belgrade is massive. Could not only be a turning point in Fabianskis career, but Arsenals season. He looked dominant, bossing about his defence. Koscielny is like a central midfielder. His tackling and passing are very good indeed. As long as we keep it tight at the back, this Arsenal team are always going to score goals. Even if we leave the Emirates filled with anxiety for 88 minutes or so.

I was reading a piece by Piers Morgan, and what he says, I think sums up the typical Arsenal fan. It is a very good piece, and you may hate him, but well worth a read. You can read it here.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, keep the faith with this team. We have a wonderful manager, and his style of football is starting to produce. The last two weeks we have scored goals, won games and played well, and not so well, but we've won games. Keep it going lads!

Well thats it for today, I'm away for a full english breakfast!

Thanks for reading.
