Morning all,
Yesterday's eagerly anticipated match, on the whole, was an entertaining affair. From a neutral point of view at least.
We started the game on fire, really coming out of the traps. Two chances within the first minute. Chamakh threw himself at a Sagna cross which deflected wide, and from the resulting corner, Koscielny somehow headed over the bar from about a yard out, should of scored! If that went in, who knew what might have happened?
We were controlling play, and our pressing game was working really well. I admire Barcelona for their pressing play, and it likes like we are adopting the same approach.
Despite all that possession, Chelsea were a tough nut to break down. For the first goal, I felt Song was fouled in the build up. But we can't excuse that as the reason we conceded. Nasri and Sagna switched off, allowing that prick at left back to slide the ball across for Drogba (who else!?) to fumble in.

| Improvisation, or fluke? |
The Drogba goal has caused some debate, whether as to he meant it or not. Personally, I thought it was lucky how it hit the post and rolled in, but credit to him for trying it.
In the second half, much like the first, we penned Chelsea into there own half, but just couldn't create many clear cut chances. Chamakh had a header, and with his reputation, I expected better but it just was not to be. Nasri provided a sloppy back pass and Chelsea broke forward, a rare thing indeed, and Koscielny had to halt the attack with a foul. What happened next, really was incredible.
For all my money, I thought Drogba was going to take the free kick. But no. Alex stepped up and unleashed what can only be described as a rocket into the top corner. Breath taking technique. 2-0 to Chelsea, somewhat flattering for them I thought.
So we didn't win at the Bridge, but how many teams do? Unlike last seasons encounters, we WERE NOT outclassed. Not one bit. We were missing Cesc and van Persie, and in the final third where we were not sharp or clever enough, it showed. I was very pleased with the performance yesterday, but obviously not with the scoreline.
I had a few rants on Twitter yesterday, not at the players, but the fans. The Arsenal away fans are such a credit to the team, provide such a quality and quantity of noise. Yet it is the supporters on internet, people like me (who are unable to frequently attend games) that let the club down.
I understand disappointment, and being a fan enquires passion. But some of the people have gone over board. Criticising Wenger, Diaby etc. Now, I love Wenger. What he has done to this club is remarkable. He's on the verge of something special. All those ''AKB doubters'' can jog on. Supporters support their team. Whether it be the manager or players. I suggest you do that. I have stopped reading certain blogs and unfollowed numerous people, because I can't be doing with all the negativity.
Just for the record, the majority of you are great people who provide plenty of banter.
Well that's about it for today, a little rushed cause one eye is on the Ryder Cup on Sky Sports. C'mon Europe, and especially to Ian Poulter!
Keep the faith.
