Newcastle 0-4 Arsenal; we mean business

Morning all

Admittedly, I've not watched alot of the game, so this review won't be entirely factual. However, as a fan I can still comment on a brilliant result.

Seeing Arsene Wengers intent on winning this trophy is promising. We arrived at St James Park with Arshavin and Fabregas in reserve. It was clear to see Arsene has pinpointed this trophy as valuable, and quite right too. Silverware is silverware, and also a start of a long trophy trail.

Eastmond was the surprise starter, and J Sanderson over at Young Guns states on Twitter he's an average player, and who am I to argue? Myself, I would of liked Lansbury to start but I'm sure he will get his turn. I seen Vela missed a chance early on, but as it was early, I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, I do get the feeling time is running out for him. I hope he proves many wrong and fulfills his undoubted potential.

The opening goal was comical. A Bendtner header was flicked goalwards by Koscielny, and the ball was whacked off the line by Taylor, straight into Krul and bundled over the line. The second goal showed Walcotts brilliant composure infront of goal, lifting the ball delicately over the onrushing Krul. There was some controversy in the build as Bendtner seemed to wipe out Williamson after coming from on offside position. But Newcastle are clutching at straws if they think that's a turning point. By the sounds of it we romped to victory.

The third goal again showed the quality of Bendtner, bending a beautiful effort into the far corner. 3-0 and game well and truly over. The fourth was duly finished by Walcott, keeping his cool in a one on one vs Krul.

Sorry for this post, not really a review but I'm sure most of you are well aware of what happened last night. The pleasing aspect for me is the teams togetherness to win games, no matter who were playing. Long may it continue.

I will return later today (hopefully) with a detailed blog about our midfield. Until then, have yourselves a good day, and thanks for reading. I swear it's not usually this bad!!
