Newcastle - Arsenal; we must start somewhere

Morning folks

So it's a long jaunt up north to Newcastle in the Carling Cup for our boys tonight. After Sundays wonderful result, we should be brimming with confidence. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we should go for the jugular this season regarding trophies.

And that includes the Carling Cup. As it's the first final of the season, what better way to enter a league run in with a trophy already won, with that added desire to win more.

So likewise with Tottenham, expect to see a mix of youth, experience and players finding fitness.

It's a big game for our Mexican Vela. With his compatriot at United outshining him, maybe it's the incentive he needs to pick up his game. And not hookers! Wenger has built up JET immensely in the past 24 hours and hopefully we see alot of him tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing Lansbury too. Both these players, as Wenger mentioned, could be future Arsenal stars. Let's hope so.

I'll miss tonights game unfortunately as I have my football training. But will be expecting a comfortable victory nonetheless.

Apologies for the short and maybe poorly scripted post. Using my iPhone and struggling at that. Tomorrow I'll blog about Cesc and Nasri, along with the match review.

Have a good day, and enjoy the game!!
