Morning all
I am gutted. Gutted about the result but not the performance. Again we were excellent I thought. If we had one tiny iota of luck, we would of won. We dominated the game, destroyed Man City but failed to score.
If we lost this game, I would concede the title. But we didn't. We are very much in this title race, and with plenty of games to go, there is no reason why we can't go all the way.
Off the ball we have come on leaps and bounds lately. We finally get the idea that we are better with the ball than without, so there is such a desire to win the ball. Had Robin van Persies studs been about a centimetre longer, it could of been a rout. We ripped them apart about three times in the first 5 minutes, with the woodwork coming to their rescue several times.
I watched the game on TV and I don't remember ever being so agitated by an oppositions tactics, especially a title challenger. At times Carlos Tevez was defensive midfield and Jo was at left back. Maybe that's a sign of respect towards us, but to me it shows lack of ambition. Really disappointing to see.
In this Premier League race, so many teams are dropping points. To me, Chelsea and Tottenham *sniggers* are now out of it. Out of us and City, we are more equipped to challenge Man Utd. Bring it on. There is no reason why we can't over take them.
Alot of positives from last night. Wilshere is much more confident in his position now, darting forward and making more incisive passes. Alex Song has come back into form. Robin van Persie is almost back. Nasri and Fabregas linked up beautifully again. Djourou and Koscielnys partnership compliment each other so well.
The negatives was obviously the result, but to be honest there really wasn't much else we could of done. Felt a little let down by Sagna. Really stupid going head to head with an opponent, but to be fair I liked the passion he shown.
Don't be too disheartened guys, alot of football left to be played and if we keep up the tempo, we will definitely have alot to say.
Thank's for reading, have a bearable day at work wherever you are.
