The mentality needs to be right tonight

Morning all

The start of the trophy hunt could take it's final stage tonight. We have a two legged Semi Final with Ipswich with the first game at Portman Road.

Without getting cocky, you have to say the draw has been favourable. Apparently we're in the midst of a five year drought. So tonight is a big game if we are to put that mini drought to bed.

The attitude of the team has to be right tonight. Hopefully the Leeds game will help us. I expect the team to be similar to that of the Saturday game so plenty of opportunity to right a few wrongs.

Hopefully Bendtner and Arshavin start. Some players need to play their way back into form. Robin van Persie is a prime example. The stick those two players got over the weekend was a touch harsh in my opinion but that's football. They are quality players and I fully expect them to quieten their critics tonight.

We have some sort of mini crisis in defence. I don't whether both Koscielny and Djourou will both start tonight. It seems a bit risky if one of those were to get injured. With Squillaci out for three weeks, we would only be left with one fit senior centre back. And we all know how fragile Djourou is. That leaves either Alex Song or youngster Ignasi Miquel. I'd be opted to go with the youngster. It's a big game but he will have plenty of experienced players around. I've heard he's a Pique type defender, so why not play him?

So, despite lower league opposition, this game should be as big as a game with one of the top four. Just hope Arsenal go into the game with that mentality. Make no mistake, if we go into this game the same way we went into the Chelsea game, we will blow them out the water.

Time to end the trophy drought. Bring it on!

Thanks for reading.
