West Ham 0-3 Arsenal; exemplary attitude from the Big Guns

Morning all

Hope your all enjoying the weekend, I'm sure Arsenal have contributed!

Seeing the team sheet before hand, I was once again confident of a result. But this time, I had every right too. It was our strongest possible line up, no experimental changes. Just the Arsenal at their best.

The performance wasn't Arsenal in full flow, but it was enough. It was pleasing to see Robin van Persie charge around, fluently, linking up and indeed bagging a brace. Him and Theo Walcott seem to have great understanding, and both of those players were heavily involved in all three goals.

I thought Djourou was shaky, but his form beforehand has been superb and I'm hoping it's only a minor blip. Koscielny, with every passing game, is justifying his price tag you would have to say. He needs a dominant partner, and in Djourou, he seems to have that. Eboue was fine going forward but if we were up against a great left winger we would've been punished. Thankfully, Sagna's suspension has run it's course. Clichy is now finding his pre Eduardo injury form, which is so pleasing to see as he seems a nice lad and genuinely has affection for the club.

Fabregas, Song and Wilshere. Is there a better midfield in the country. They have developed an awesome understanding and Alex Song has found his form again. Cesc strolled along the pitch, picking passes at will. On his day, an absolute joy to watch. Jack Wilshere, although not quite the elegant player of the reserves, contributes to our fluid passing and with every game, he seems to stamp his authority on this team. What we have here is the heir apparent to Cesc Fabregas' throne.

Right now, the front three pick themselves. Robin van Persies link up play is world class. It's a shame for Chamakh to find himself dropped, but he is now our plan B, and what a plan B to have. In Samir Nasri, we have a player who just gets better and better. Gone has the player who fades out of games once getting kicked. He is alot meaner, and I have to say I love him. Purely platonic. Same goes with Theo Walcott. It is no surprise Theo and Samir have played so well, having a full pre season behind them. Theo is now displaying his football brain and his finishing is absolutely lethal!

When this Arsenal team get it right, it's just a pleasure to watch. This Arsenal first team are the standard, and for me, bar Chamakh and Gibbs, the back ups do not show enough when given the opportunity. It seems they are content being back up, but they need to show the same desire and effort if they are to command a first team place.

A couple of big games coming up against lower league opposition. And last nights attitude is the attitude we need every single game. It is demanding, but ultimately so so rewarding.

Thanks for reading. Now to waste my Sunday away infront of the TV watching the football.
