Morning all
Another big game tomorrow at West Ham, who are starting to get a run together. Let's make sure that stops tomorrow.
I hope we see the main team back in action. It is worth noting the last three times we've played our strongest team, the results have been as follows; Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea, Birmingham 0-3 and Arsenal 0-0 Man City. A good set of results and great performances to go along with.
I believe the spirit amongst our ''second team'' is no match for our strongest line up. Whether that be the players are in or out of form I don't know, but whatever line up we should have a great chance of winning games, such is the strength and depth of our squad.
We need to win this tomorrow, just to get back into the swing of things. It is a London derby, Upton Park will be rocking and it will be a tough game. They have one player in Scott Parker who has been a wonderful player this season. Other than that, we shouldn't fear them. Our away form has been awesome and we should be able to do the job without any fuss. Well, that's the idea anyway.
Robin van Persie should start, being flanked by Walcott and Nasri. Now that is an awesome trio. van Persie scored on his last outing, and I hope it's the first of many. It's harsh on Chamakh to be dropped, but that's the level of competition we need.
Rumours are that Vermaelen is out for the season, with is a great shame. We definitely need another centre back, and many over on Twitter say we shouldn't buy a defender for alot of money as there is no where to occupy him. Bollocks. We always say we never have enough players, so what is wrong with buying another top quality defender. It's always good to have a variety of different defenders, and I genuinely believe we need a British defender, one with lots of steel. My bet would be to sign up Gary Cahill. Not Matt Upson. Not Sol Campbell. Gary Cahill. He may be expensive, but ultimately worth the risk.
Hopefully the last two games will prove to the players they need to put in the effort to win games. Once we get the level of consistency right, we are gonna take alot of stopping.
That's it for today, enjoy your weekend and thanks for reading.
