Arsenal vs Birmingham; time to come of age

Well, this is it. How long has it been? Six years? Today we find ourselves in a brilliant position to end the drought. And what a chance it could be.

Yeah, it's only the Carling Cup. But, will it only be the Carling Cup if we then go onto a trophy winning streak? Because that's what potentially could happen. Winning this cup alleviates the pressure going into the final stretch of the season.

The main news is Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott are out. You'd have to say we are in a good position to replace them. Yes, amazing players but will we truly miss them? Time will tell. I'm really gutted for Cesc. As captain he should be leading his team. Instead he's gonna look on from the stands. Should we win, I hope he accompanies stand in skipper Robin van Persie up those steps to lift the trophy.

Oh, and Cesc, this won't be our last appearance at Wembley this season.

Today is a huge game. Forget Barca, we need to focus on Birmingham. They are looking okay lately so we will need to be on top of our game.
