The boys are back in town

Been a while since I last wrote, seasons greetings to you all. Today I will be revelling in yesterdays victory alcohol free (I HOPE!)

So what can you say about last night? Utterly brilliant. Team selection was a gamble, and it paid off in big style. Johan Djourou is turning into a terrific defender, Clichy improved alot and Alex Song was fantastic.

I don't know whether it's laziness or what, but I don't really like writing in depth reviews of the game. I'm sure you've all read plenty of reports, seen highlights and indeed the game itself. What I will write is my opinions on performances etc. And last night I can't doubt any of them.

Jack Wilshere really is a mix of Paddy V and Brady. He was immense last night, alongside Song and Fabregas he most certainly is not out of place. Theo Walcott again showed the world he has matured, another strong showing from him. Cesc was just Cesc, world class! It was good to see RvP back as well, we do miss his class in the final third when he's out of action.

So how does that game rank? Well it is certainly our performance of the season. Easily. But also, how important is that game? We finally got the win over a top side, and now we must push on from here. Go with the same attitude and passion and desire as we did last night, I really can't see many teams beating us. It's alot to ask but it is the benchmark we have set.

The games are coming thick and fast, and next we're up at Wigan. It will be tricky but we will be buzzing after last night.
